The future of trading cards has arrived.

Hro is an online platform where fans can collect, trade, and buy officially licensed hybrid trading cards. The Hro community is accessible via the Hro mobile app.

While gamers and collectors have seen digital cards becoming more popular, one of the things that makes Hro unique is its hybrid trading cards — a combination of both physical and digital cards. Each card unlocks a digital twin so fans have access to their collections 24/7. Through the platform, they can buy, sell, trade, and compete with other collectors worldwide.

All you have to do is scan the QR code on the back of the physical card to claim its digital non-fungible token (NFT) twin. The cards use blockchain technology to ensure proof of authenticity as well as ownership over every asset.

Hro partnered with Warner Bros. and DC to create an innovative experience in which fans can immerse themselves further into the DC Multiverse. The first chapter debuted in March 2022 both physically and digitally. Now collectors can engage with other passionate fans, unlock iconic art, and celebrate their favorite DC heroes and villains in a new way.

The Hro platform differs from traditional trading card gameplay because there are different leaderboards and point systems in place rather than typical action cards. Each card features a rarity level, collection category, and mint number. Collectors want low mint numbers to score higher on the leaderboards. Both avid collectors and new players have a chance to race to the top of the community leaderboards, complete full sets, and even earn physical and digital prizes while curating their collections. Users have received rewards like digital cards and physical cards, and Hro is teasing upcoming rewards that include physical experiences.

Hro’s hybrid cards feature brand new original artwork highlighting iconic moments and characters from the DC universe spanning its history of more than 85 years. Limited-edition sets that dropped earlier this year include Selfie Moments, which features DC characters taking hilarious selfies, and Dawn of DC, inspired by DC’s publishing initiative of the same name that features new stories starring Wonder Woman, DC’s Titans, Cyborg, and more. Some cards have special effects like a hologram treatment or animation.

Chapter 4 dropped just last month, and this latest 152-card set features 30 The Flash limited-edition movie cards; cards across several different collection categories including Super Heroes, Super-Villains, Comics, Locations, Iconic Phrases, Vivid Moments, Objects, Vintage Title Logos, Civilians, and Alter Ego; and the first hybrid appearance of a rare Hro-tier card. It features Superman and has only 150 mints worldwide!

Chapter 4 is now live at shop.hro.gg. For more information visit hro.gg.
