Funko is heading back to the blockchain, but this time with a musical twist.
The next collection of Digital Pop! collectibles will feature the band Iron Maiden. The lineup of digital cards will star Eddie, the band’s mascot, who has appeared on every Iron Maiden album cover.
There will be a total of 24,000 packs of these non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which will be available on the WAX Blockchain. These will be divided into two pack sizes: 18,000 Standard Packs, which contain five Digital Pops! ($9.99 per pack) and 6,000 Premium Packs, which contain 15 Digital Pops! ($29.99 per pack).
This collection will be available to purchase starting on Sept. 30. There is a $30 transaction limit, though collectors can make multiple purchases. Collectors will need to have a WAX Cloud Wallet account, which they can register for at wax.io.
There are no details yet about companion physical Pop! figures for this drop, but every Digital Pop! collection so far has included limited-edition physical collectibles. Stay tuned for additional details from @originalfunko.
