“More” certainly meets the eye when you see the new Transformers collection from Irregular Choice. Hasbro partnered with the footwear brand for a collection of new accessories inspired by the Robots in Disguise. This week, the companies teased images of four products from the upcoming Transformers collaboration. Let’s just say these pieces will definitely … transform your look.
While the 27-piece collection won’t be available for purchase until next year, Transformers fans can get a feel for what shoes and accessories they’ll be able to add to their closets. The collection will be released right in time for Transformers’ 40th anniversary.
The limited-edition collection includes shoes, bags, and other accessories that pay homage to the franchise’s ‘80s roots. The colorful, vibrant products feature both Autobots and Decepticons, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Starscream, and Soundwave. These looks would definitely warrant a song from Bumblebee.
The first product image released from the Transformers-inspired collection features the “…More Than Meets The Eye” ankle books. The boots pull from Decepticon Starscream’s color palette and feature a removable jet wing on the side. Fans will also notice a purple Decepticon logo. The lace-up boots are lightweight and could easily complement a cosplay or add flair to a quick trip to the store.
Another pair of shoes, accurately named “Autobot,” are high-heeled boots with a hidden platform. These black, yellow, and red motorbike boots feature matte gray detailing. Other Transformers lovers will recognize you as a fan once they see the Autobot logo on the back.
If you’re in your main character era, the “Optimus Prime” might fit your look. This handbag features a large icon of the Autobot on the front, while the rest of the bag is colored similarly to the leader. The doctors-style bag has a handle, two internal pockets, contrasting lining, and a front flap secured with poppers.
The final tease from the collection is the “Music to My Ears” bag. This retro, Soundwave-inspired bag has a glitter-filled gel pouch and cassette tape controls on the front. You can wear it as a handbag or transform it into a clutch, but either way the Autobot and Decepticon pixelart logos will get you in the mood for an ‘80s arcade game. The bag has plush orange lining, an inside pocket, and a flap secured with a magnetic popper.
