DECIPH-AR ar app logo

Global lifestyle company Just Funky dropped its new Deciph-AR augmented reality app yesterday at Licensing Expo to bring iconic pop culture characters to life.

The app, available for Apple iOS and Android devices, will work with Just Funky’s new products, which will sell at popular retailers.

Fans can fire up the app, point their phone camera at one of the products, and watch their favorite pop culture characters pop up on the screen. When the characters come to life — and show off some badass dance moves, according to the video below — fans can record and share it with friends. It’s a lot like AR Childish Gambino dancing to his song “This Is America” in the Google Playground feature for Android phones — but it’s Childish Gambino, so not as good.

“Since starting Just Funky, our team has strived from day one, to offer the most creative, high-quality, and forward-thinking products within the industry,” Raj Arora, chief visionary of Just Funky, said in a statement. “We are known as the pioneers for everything pop-culture, and that is something I am extremely proud of, as we now lead the industry, when only a few years ago, this company began out of our family garage with nothing but a vision.”

Just Funky partners with several global retailers, including Target, GameStop, Spencer’s, Hot Topic, BoxLunch, LootCrate, and ThinkGeek, to sell its pop culture-themed products — created for fans, by fans.
