Just when you thought your Star Wars fandom had time to chill since the release of The Rise of Skywalker and the season finale of The Mandalorian, Sideshow Collectibles goes and releases the Luke Skywalker Deluxe 1:6 Scale Figure, featuring an uncanny resemblance to the lead Jedi of the Skywalker saga.
The toy is part of the distributor’s line of 1:6-scale figures with Hong Kong toy makers Hot Toys Limited. Each toy is a highly detailed character replica featuring realistic props, changeable outfits, and high points of articulation. This Luke Skywalker figure is no different — unless how badly we want it is any different (heads up: It’s not).
The Skywalker figure depicts the young Jedi as he appeared in the final chapter of the original Star Wars trilogy, Return of the Jedi. The roughly 11-inch figure features two remarkably detailed head sculpts (Mark Hamill mole included) with different facial expressions and two hairstyles — for a total of four interchangeable looks.
The figure also includes an LED light-up lightsaber (along with a very cool blade emulating the weapon in motion); a blaster; an Endor-themed figure stand; an interchangeable, battle-damaged right hand; and the sandstorm goggles and cloak outfit as seen in a deleted scene on Tatooine.
This is one of the most realistic film character figures out there, and if you’re still as geeked out on Star Wars as we are, it’s absolutely one of the coolest. For a cold $282, it better be.
