New York Comic Con (NYCC) is mere weeks away, and Mad Cave Studios is headed to the Big Apple with a full lineup of panels, events, and exclusives.
To start, Mad Cave Studios will be part of two panels during the show. The first is The Winx Club’s Sparkling 20th Anniversary Celebration, which will be on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in Room 406.3. The panel will celebrate the full history of the Winx Club, including a prerecorded interview with Rainbow Founder and President Iginio Straffi and a video celebrating Winx fans. Two representatives from Mad Cave Studios’ Papercutz — Marketing Manager Spenser Nellis and Editor Stephanie Brooks — will discuss Papercutz upcoming graphic novel series for the brand.
The second panel is Mad Cave Buzz: Upcoming Creator-Owned, Licensed, and Originals. It will also be in Room 406.3, but on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 1:15-2:15 p.m. Attendees will hear from creators for Mad Cave Studios’ upcoming projects, including Flash Gordon, Gatchaman, Dick Tracy, Edenfrost, Crusader, and The Devil That Wears My Face. Mike Marts, Mad Cave Studios’ Editor in Chief, and Senior Editor Chas Pangburn will moderate the panel.
Mad Cave Studios is also bringing some exclusives to NYCC, including a selection of Mystery Mad Cave Variants that will be available as prizes at the Pop Insider booth (No. 1829) on Saturday. There will also be a Winx Club 20th-Anniversary Special Gold Foil Edition of “Welcome to the Magix” at both the Winx booth (No. 3154) and the Mad Cave booth (No. 3441).
Fans who visit the Mad Cave booth will be able to get multiple variants and prints, including a Hunt. Kill. Repeat variant by Mike Deodato and Jao Canola, a Exorcists Never Die variant by Nico Leon, a Monomyth variant by Reilly Brown, a You’ve Been Cancelled variant by Dustin Nguyen, an Under the Influence variant by Gabriel Walta, a Project Riese variant by Jeff McComsey, a Crusader variant by Simon Roy, a The Devil That Wears My Face variant by Alex Cormack, an Edenfrost variant by Mike Rooth, a Gatchaman exclusive print by Inaki Miranda, a Dick Tracy exclusive print by Brent Schoonover, and a Flash Gordon exclusive print by Dan Panosian.
Finally, there will be a steady schedule of signings at the Mad Cave Studios booth (No. 3441) throughout the show. The full schedule is:
