It’s-a me: Huge news about Super Mario’s 35th bday.

Velan Studios and Nintendo revealed Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit today. The mixed-reality game allows players to turn any living space into the next great circuit. Players design and construct the routes in the real world and then race the digital characters with the help of a Nintendo Switch. The game will be released on Oct. 16 for everyone to grab before the holidays.

This game was just one of the many exciting announcements made today at Nintendo’s Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct Event — watch it below. Families will also soon be able to grab Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario Bros. 35, Super Mario All-Stars, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and a ton of Super Mario merch. There will be a number of events until next year celebrating the game’s big birthday.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a collection of optimized, 3D versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. It will only be available to purchase from Sept. 18 until March 31 for Nintendo Switch Devices. Super Mario Bros. 35 is a competitive online battle with 35 players. The chaotic game can only be played from Oct. 1 to March 31. Find more info on every game on the way here.

In March, players of Animal Crossing can look forward to Mario-themed furniture. Before then, (and in real life) Puma will be releasing Super Mario basketball shoes tomorrow, the LEGO Nintendo Entertainment System is available now, Mario Monopoly and Jenga Super Mario sets from Hasbro are at retailers already, and even more merch is coming in the next few months.

The events for people to look forward to are virtual and in-person. Those who live in New York City can head to Nintendo’s store in November for exclusive anniversary-themed merch or find it online. Those who are subscribed to My Nintendo will have a chance to win special prizes until March by completing Mario-themed challenges.

Mario has come a long way since his 8bit days but remains the Super Star always.
