There are still two weeks to go until the worldwide launch of Marvel’s Avengers for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, Square Enix is giving gamers a chance to suit up with Earth’s mightiest heroes for a free preview of the game this weekend.

From Aug. 21-23, the Marvel’s Avengers Open Beta will be available to play across platforms. The beta features hours of playable content, including four of the game’s single-player campaign Hero Missions, three HARM-room challenges, four War Zones, and five Drop Zones.

Players can enjoy the multi-player content (War Zones and Drop Zones) alone with AI companions or play as teams of up to four gamers.

You will need a Square Enix Members account to play the beta. If you don’t already have one, register here for free. Everyone who signs up for an account will get a Thor in-game nameplate in the final game.

For some cross-game action, players can also link their Epic Games and Square Enix Members accounts, then complete the HARM-room challenges to earn a Hulk Smashers Pickaxe with bonus Hulkbuster style to use in Fortnite.

The beta will open at 9 p.m. on Aug. 21 in your local time zone. Visit this web page when you’re ready to join in!
