Race your collection to its destination in an eco-friendly electric car!

Mattel‘s Matchbox brand is going green with a new die-cast car modeled after a popular electric vehicle from Mercedes-Benz. The new car is made with 99.5% recycled metal and a minimum of 81% ISCC-certified plastic, perfect fans of Mercedes-Benz and sustainability.

The 1:64-scale replica is inspired by the Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology, with a blue exterior and black interior. The die-cast car comes with a base that attaches to the packaging lid for easy display.

The car showcases sustainability values promoted by Matchbox’s Driving Toward a Better Future campaign, which launched in 2022. The campaign adds electric vehicles to the brand’s portfolio and promotes efforts toward the brand’s goal of 100% recycled, recyclable, or bio-based plastics in toys and packaging by 2030.

Matchbox has additional plans for more Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles coming later this year to its Moving Parts Series. The new Matchbox Mercedes-Benz G 580 With EQ Technology is available for preorder now while supplies last exclusively on the Mattel Creations shop.
