White Collar and American Horror Story actor Matt Bomer will star as Negative Man, rounding out the cast of DC’s Doom Patrol series.

The live-action drama is set to launch on the new DC Universe digital platform and also stars Brendan Faser, who announced Bomer’s casting via video at New York Comic Con.

Technically, only Bomer’s voice will be Negative Man. He will provide voiceovers, as Matthew Zuk dons the radioactive hero’s full-body, face-obscuring costume. Bomer will appear in flashback scenes as Larry Trainer, Negative Man’s pre-radiation incident identity.

The setup is similar for Fraser, who will provide Robotman’s voice and portray Cliff Steele in flashback scenes.

Written by Jeremy Carver, Doom Patrol follows a group of rejects: Robotman (Fraser), Negative Man (Bomer), Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and team leader (Timothy Dalton). The misfit heroes are called into action by Cyborg (Joivan Wade), and fight infamous villains, including Mr. Nobody.

The series is set for a 2019 release and will join Titans, Young Justice: Outsiders, Swamp Thing, Stargirl, and Harley Quinn as DC Universe-exclusive content.
