By the power of Grayskull, Mattel is doing even more Masters of the Universe (MOTU) collabs! After partnering with PUMA and artist Virgil Abloh last fall, Mattel is releasing new Eternia-themed collectibles and apparel with Be@rbricks and streetwear brand Mishka NYC.
Be@rbricks are a popular line of art toy figures that feature a human-shaped body and a bear head. There are two new MOTU Be@rbricks on the way, featuring He-Man and Skeletor. Each Be@rbrick is faithful to its inspiration, just with a pair of yellow or purple ears. Each of these Be@rbricks comes in two sizes: 100%, which is around 2.75 inches tall, and 400%, which is around 11 inches tall. For $200, you can get both sizes of either MOTU character as a set. The figures will be available at Mattel Creations and mark Mattel’s first collab with the Japanese brand.
Mattel’s collaboration with Mishka NYC streetwear will drop at the same time as the MOTU Be@rbricks. This collection features T-shirts, hoodies, hats, and more, which range in price from $15-85. Some highlights to the collection include a black snapback with Skeletor’s head on the front and a purple bill, a black hoodie and T-shirt featuring Orko with his yellow eyes peering from under his hat, and a blanket featuring the heroes of MOTU — led by He-Man — facing off against the bad guys.
Set your timers, because the Be@rbricks and Mishka NYC merch will drop at mattelcreations.com and mishkanyc.com on Friday, Jan. 27, at 9 a.m. PT.
