There’s good news for fans of Miffy! The beloved Dutch bunny is coming to Daiso stores in the U.S.
In a licensing deal announced by the Joester Loria Group, the 50-year-old Japanese-inspired retailer Daiso will launch a variety of Miffy products. The collection includes adorable Miffy keychains, sticker sheets, and air fresheners. It also includes items that make organization fun, such as Miffy-themed calendars, scented pens, and pencil pouches. The collection is available now in all 90 Daiso stores throughout the country.
Created by the renowned Dutch artist Dick Bruna, Miffy has charmed generations with her simplicity and heartwarming adventures. Bruna created Miffy based on a bedtime story tradition between father and son. Now, more than 68 years later, Miffy is a star among Gen Z fans, who appreciate her joy, childhood nostalgia, and innocence. Despite Miffy’s humble Dutch origins, the character has sold more than 85 million books in more than 50 languages, and has been broadcast via 70 television stations worldwide.
In addition to the collection of Miffy products, Miffy herself will also meet with fans at the popular Daiso brick-and-mortar locations in Gardena, CA (8970 Apollo Way, Suite A10, Downey, CA 90242) on Jan. 6 and in Phoenix, AZ (3055 E Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012) on Jan. 7. The first 100 customers at each Daiso location will receive a goodie bag with a $30 purchase and at the end of the event day, one lucky winner will be chosen to receive a Miffy gift basket with a $100 gift card.
