New Zealand Mint has been minting legal tender collectible coins, gold bullion, and medallions for more than five decades. This month and next, the company is releasing a handful of new coins based on different fandoms that are sure to go on every collector’s wish list.
For DC fans, NZ Mint is releasing a colored Batman No. 1 silver coin designed to look like a comic book on Nov. 7. Later in the month, on Nov. 21, NZ Mint is releasing a silver coin with a Chibi-inspired design of the Penguin.
Marvel fans will enjoy the Nov. 24 release of four different Spider-Man coins. These coins come in 1-ounce silver, 3-ounce silver, 1/4-ounce gold, and 1-ounce gold editions and feature the superhero in the middle of slinging a web.
For fans of Star Wars, NZ Mint is releasing a Mythosaur-shaped coin from The Mandalorian on Nov. 10 in 2-ounce silver and 5-ounce silver. Customers should also be on the lookout for a coin that looks like the poster for The Empire Strikes Back, which is releasing on Nov. 17. Sabine Wren from Ahsoka will drop as a Chibidesign on Nov. 21, followed by a 3-ounce silver coin of Darth Vader on Nov. 28.
As for December’s releases, the collection spans from Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings and Star Wars to Marvel. Highlights include the five UFC fighters in Chibi style, which are set to release on Dec. 12: Conor McGregor, Alexa Grasso, Amanda Nunes, Israel Adesanya, and Jon Jones.
