In case you didn’t know, Spider-Man is in the midst of his 60th anniversary year. To celebrate six decades of the beloved, friendly neighborhood hero, there’s a new exhibit heading to the Comic-Con Museum. Called “Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing — The Exhibition,” this new addition to the Comic-Con Museum in San Diego will open on July 1, just in time for Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC).
The exhibition, created in partnership with Fever, will offer interactive installations, a collection of priceless Spidey and Marvel artifacts — ranging from original comic book art to film memorabilia — and information about the creators who have shaped Spider-Man. It will only be on display through the end of this year.
Advanced tickets for the exhibit are on sale now, with only a select number available each day. The cost is $30 per adult, with discount pricing available for children, students, and groups of 10 or more. The exhibit will also run on a timed entry system to help prevent overcrowding and keep down wait times.
Fans who buy a ticket will also get access to the entire Comic-Con Museum experience, which includes exhibits such as “Pac-Man Arcade” and “Eight Decades of Archie.”
Those who are attending SDCC can also join for a special Spidey event. On July 20 (aka Preview Night at SDCC), the museum will host its “Night at the Comic-Con Museum” event. During the event, attendees will see Spider-Man inducted into the Museum Character Hall of Fame, becoming the fourth inductee overall. Tickets to the event cost $250 and include admission to the exhibit, food, entertainment, special guests, and more.
