It’s been a truly magical year for Disney, at least if you measure by global box office.

Thanks to the success of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, Disney surpassed $7 billion at the global box office this year. Infinity War brought in more than $2 billion worldwide on its own, only the fourth movie to ever do so. Black Panther out-performed Infinity War domestically and totaled $1.35 billion worldwide.

Other major movies for Disney this year included Pixar’s Incredibles 2 ($1.241 billion), Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp ($622.6 million), and Solo: A Star Wars Story ($393.2 million).

With Disney’s Mary Poppins Returns still to hit theaters and Ralph Breaks the Internet still in its box office run, experts believe Disney could surpass the all-time yearly record of $7.6 billion, which the company set itself last year.

Next year seems to have a similar lineup of Marvel hits ahead, including Captain Marvel in March, Avengers: Endgame in April, and Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.
