Streetwear retailer Hype has elected Hello Kitty as this year’s unofficial-Valentine’s-self-love ambassador with an all new Hello Kitty capsule collection. The line steers away from typical Valentine’s motifs and embraces a “galantines” approach with a range of edgy apparel and accessories.
Featuring T-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, rompers, and loungewear sets, the collection uses a complementary color palette of pastel pink tones and bright red hues. The line pairs sticker-like images of Hello Kitty with a variety of different fabrics — including faux fur, velvet corduroy, and denim — to create items that are wearable independently or together. Fans can mix and match the Hello Kitty denim jacket and jeans to create an adorable matching set or bring a separate, stand-out piece to any outfit.
Fans can also look forward to a selection of accessories in this launch, including a backpack, a lunchbox, a tote bag, and a bucket hat, all featuring all-over prints of Hello Kitty.
The collection launches exclusively on justhype.com and select retailers worldwide starting tomorrow, Feb. 10. Available in adult and kid sizes, the line offers 29 pieces of chic, V-Day fun.
