Next year, Legally Blonde will be old enough to drink! Yes, the popular movie is turning 21 in 2022, and MGM Studios is ready to celebrate.
To commemorate more than two decades of Elle Woods’ fabulous fashions (and equally fabulous one-liners), the studio is planning a “Legally Blonde Turns 21” celebration that’s all about new merch. This initiative was first announced last year as part of MGM’s licensing showcase, but now there are details available, including a slate of new licensing partners — 21 of them, to be exact!
Some of the upcoming fashion collabs for this anniversary event include costumes and apparel from Jerry Leigh of California; apparel and hats from Park Agencies; pajamas, loungewear, and apparel from Poetic Brands; and apparel, socks, and hats from Sport Zone.
Other merch partnerships include designer bags from Olympia Le-Tan, a variety of merch from Solent Brands, and new vinyl figures from Funko.
The celebration also includes some entertainment experiences inspired by the movie, such as the previously announced Legally Blonde mobile game from PlaySide Studios and the upcoming Legally Blonde concert series.
