Spooky season is kicking off early this year!
In July, NECA will launch the first figure in a series of collectibles inspired by Universal Monsters. Made in partnership with Universal Brand Development, Lugosi LLC, and Chaney Entertainment, these figures will be made in NECA’s Ultimate format.
The collection kicks off with Frankenstein’s Monster from Frankenstein (1931), which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The detailed sculpt (pictured above) is modeled after Boris Karloff and is black and white for movie accuracy. A colorized version of the figure will be available at a later time.
Other figures joining the Universal Monsters collection this year include Lon Chaney Jr. as the Wolf Man in The Wolf Man (1941), Boris Karloff as the titular character in The Mummy (1932), and Bela Lugosi as the iconic vampire from Dracula (1931).
All of these figures will have NECA’s Ultimate figure hallmarks, including an array of swappable heads and hands, accessories, and 5th-panel packaging so collectors can remove the figure without damaging the box.
