You would think things would get a little better in Riverdale once the town’s most sought-after serial killers were brought to justice. But, we know the mysterious town a little bit better than that.

So far we have more questions than answers about what the heck is going on in season three of The CW’s Riverdale, thanks to some new teaser footage shown during the show’s Comic-Con International: San Diego panel.

While most of the trailer relived moments from last season (a recap is always appreciated), we did get some sneak peeks at what’s coming in season three.

Although short, the tease unpacked more drama coming to the small town. The newly released footage starts off with Archie declaring that it was “the worst summer ever” and wanting to have a normal Labor Day weekend with his friends. It’s unclear whether this is after his trial or any jail time, but the season will definitely deal with the fallout following Archie’s arrest at the end of season two.

The biggest question mark came from the last few scenes, where it looks like Alice and Polly are involved in some sort of cult ritual, holding Polly’s baby twins Juniper and Dagwood over a fire. Will this have anything to do with the Sabrina spin-off down the line?

Each of the show’s power couples also made appearances during the trailer, including Bughead (seem to be going strong), Varchie (how will Archie’s trial affect their relationship?), Choni (still sensational), and Kevin and Moose (Kevin only deserves good things).

Also revealed at the Riverdale panel at SDCC is that we’re going to meet the rest of the Jones family, including Jughead’s mother, Gladys, and sister, Jellybean, according to IGN. There will be a flashback episode featuring the parents, and another musical episode.

Riverdale returns to The CW on Wednesday, October 10 at 8 p.m.
