New year, new zombie apocalypse — Sort of.
Although we said goodbye to The Walking Dead last year, we weren’t without zombies on our television screen for long. The highly anticipated HBO Max show The Last of Us premiered last night, bringing the world of video games to the silver screen. Based on the extremely popular 2013 video game by Naughty Dog, The Last of Us follows Joel, a smuggler, who is tasked with bringing teenage Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States.
And for those of us who get a little too into shows — cough cough — HBO has opened its The Last of Us merch shop. There are four different items to choose from, including a sweatshirt that comes in black or green, a T-shirt that comes in white or black, a mug, and a mason jar. The T-shirt and the sweatshirt both feature art from the show, depicting Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. Both the mug and the mason jar have the show’s title written on one side and its tagline — “When you’re lost in the darkness, look for the light” — written on the other.
HBO’s The Last of Us merch shop is now open, with prices ranging from $14.95-44.95. While you wait for your merch to ship, be sure to tune into The Last of Us, airing on Sundays on HBO and HBO Max at 9 p.m. ET.
