Two new scripts for Transformers films are in the works, according to Variety.

No cast or directors have signed on at this point, so don’t expect a Michael Bay explosion of stunts or to see Shia Labeouf dating another supermodel who wears heels for the entire movie. At this point, we can only count on our favorite aliens-turn-cars-turn-robots, and that is enough!

The writers of each script — James Vanderbilt and Joby Harold — are expected to keep in line with 2018’s Bumblebee, which was remarked by critics as what the Transformers should be: a story with heart.

Five films in the franchise based on the iconic toys have earned a total of $4 billion worldwide since 2007. Bumblebee was produced on a much smaller budget than the previous four, and that seems to be the plan for these next two.
