What sets Love Life Tragedy apart from past solo projects? Does the release of comic-style artwork and collectible versions tie into this in any way?

NC

This album feels like the most honest and complete version of me as an artist so far. I’ve lived a lot of life in the last decade, and that naturally shaped the stories I’m telling now. The comic-style artwork and collectible editions are part of creating a bigger universe around the music, something fans can step into and experience beyond just listening. It’s about giving the songs a visual life that makes the whole project more immersive.

PI

What message do you hope listeners get from this album, and the tie-in of comic-style artwork in these collectible versions?

NC

I hope people walk away feeling like they’re not alone in whatever they’re going through. The album is about navigating love, loss, and finding your way forward, and the comic artwork lets those themes unfold almost like a graphic novel. Music is powerful on its own, but when you add visuals that carry the same emotional weight, the impact can be even stronger.

What was your favorite song to perform back on the early BSB tours? What is it now?

NC

In the early days, it was definitely “I Want It That Way.” No matter where we were in the world, the second those opening notes hit, the whole crowd would sing every word. It’s one of those songs that takes on a life of its own when you perform it live. While I still love that moment, I’ve also grown to really enjoy performing “Searchlight” from my solo album. It’s new, it’s personal, and seeing people connect with it in real time reminds me why I keep making music.

What made the Sphere the perfect venue for a Backstreet Boys residency?

NC

The Sphere is like stepping into the future of live entertainment. It’s not just a stage — it’s an environment where every seat feels like the best seat in the house. The technology there allows us to build moments that wouldn’t be possible anywhere else, and as performers, that’s incredibly inspiring.

What did this reunion mean for the five of you as a group? What did the opportunity to do this residency mean to you personally?

NC

After so many years together, it’s amazing that we still get to share the stage and push ourselves creatively. This residency is a chance to celebrate our history while showing fans we’re still evolving. It’s a moment of gratitude knowing we can still connect with people all over the world after three decades.
