The trivia, the matching team outfits, the elbowpads, and most importantly, the slime! All of this is back, thanks to the revival of Double Dare, the Nickelodeon family game show that originally aired from 1986-1993.
The original show featured sets of contestants who went head-to-head in a trivia battle with the option to either answer the question, or go though a physical challenge. The winners of the first round then moved on to a wacky obstacle course with 60 seconds to complete each challenge.
The reboot features fan-favorite obstacles, like the giant slime-covered tongue slide that contestants have to ride down to capture a flag among the debris, the brick wall that contestants can break through Superman style (in the original version, they rode a tricycle through it), the oversized nose full of slimy boogers and other yummy goodies that contestants dig through to find the flag, and the human hamster wheel.
The original host, Marc Summers, is back to join the party, along with a new addition, Liza Koshy.
Nickelodeon even teased that ’90s fan-favorites Kenan and Kel will be making appearances, along with other All That castmates (fingers crossed for Amanda Bynes and Lori Beth Denberg)!
The show airs Monday nights at 8/7c on Nickelodeon all summer long and we are ready to rage!
