Come on Barbie, let’s go party!
Kick back and have some beach fun this summer at the new Malibu Barbie Cafe in New York City, which is opening on May 17. The pop-up, put on by Bucket Listers, is filled with California vibes. Fans will be transported to 1970s Malibu with laid-back beachy motifs, iconic pop tunes, bright colors reminiscent of the era, and — of course — lots of pink!
The Malibu Barbie Cafe invites guests to experience the ultimate form of Barbie-inspired dining. The casual restaurant emphasizes light dishes, desserts, and an assortment of drinks. The pop-up also offers an opportunity to shop exclusive Barbie merchandise and a variety of Instagram-worthy photo moments for fans to interact with, including a life-size Barbie doll box that you and your besties can stand inside and strike a pose. Fans can even stick their toes in the sand at the Malibu Barbie beach scene.
The cafe’s menu, created by Chef Becky Brown, who was a finalist on FOX’s MasterChef in 2012, features an array of classics with a Barbie-inspired twist. For example, visitors can cool off with an Anything is Possible Sundae or enjoy Pacific Paradise Pancakes, a California Dreamin’ Club Sandwich, or a Think Pink Margarita.
The Malibu Barbie Cafe New York location will be open all summer, until Sept. 15. The Malibu Barbie Cafe experience will also be available starting on June 7. Visit bucketlisters.com to view the full menu and purchase tickets.
