If you’re still on the edge of your seat after the Shibuya Incident, then you’re in luck! New York Comic Con (NYCC) resolved all fans’ unanswered questions with the What’s Next for Jujutsu Kaisen panel.

Kicking off the first day of NYCC, this panel was a much-needed stop for fans of the popular anime series. On Thursday, Oct. 9, fans gathered in Room 406.3, eagerly awaiting the news about Jujutsu Kaisen’s future.

Answering questions and sparking new conversations was the English voice cast of Jujutsu Kaisen. The panel lineup featured Adam McArthur, Robbie Daymond, Anne Yatco, Kaiji Tang, and Kayleigh McKee. During NYCC, the panelists gave guests behind-the-scenes insights and sneak peeks of what’s to come.

But first, we have good news! The cast confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will officially return in January 2026. Before the new year, fans can watch Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution in participating theaters. Starting Dec. 5, fans can watch a compilation film depicting Season 2’s Shibuya Incident arc and the first two episodes of the new season.

Before looking at Jujutsu Kaisen’s future, the panelists reflected on the series’ history. This year marks the 5th anniversary of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime series, which premiered its first season in 2020. While the anime has a major fanbase, McArthur and Daymond are still blown away by the series’ growing popularity.

“Because we work on shows and stuff like that, I think part of the job has become not thinking about what something could be or how big this could get. So, when you go into it [Jujutsu Kaisen] with that mentality and then something does explode, it’s absolutely wild to see,” says McArthur.

“This show came during the pandemic, and we started recording most of it from home. Now, to be out here with you at New York Comic Con is an amazing experience,” Daymond says.

Throughout its two seasons, Jujutsu Kaisen has had some very memorable lines. From the playful moments of Season 1 to the drama of Season 2, there have been many phrases that instantly transport fans to their favorite episodes. At the panel, McKee and Yatco dubbed their favorite lines from the characters they voice.

“I will kill Yuji Itadori myself,” McKee says about her character, Yuta Okkotsu.

“My favorite quote is from Nobara when she’s fighting in the forest and she says, ‘I love myself when I’m pretty and all dressed up and I love myself when I’m kicking ass,'” says Yatco.

After viewing Yuji Itadori’s production art for the upcoming season, the panelists presented fans with familiar scenes in a new way. The cast performed a live dubbing for a few scenes with an exclusive NYCC twist from Tang, who deviated from the original script. The voice actors also dubbed a clip from the Season 3 trailer.

A new season wasn’t the only surprise reveal for superfans. Guests also got a glimpse at new merch from the Toho Animation Store. Rock your fandom on your sleeves with apparel exclusives, like the Sukuna Knit Sweater ($60) and the Yuji Itadori Windbreaker ($55).

Wrapping up the panel, the cast spoke about the upcoming season. Avoiding spoilers as much as possible, Daymond and McKee gave little hints about what viewers can expect.

“Megumi is going to finally kick some ass and keep the receipt,” says Daymond.

“There are a lot of layers I can’t talk about. All I can say is if you’re worried about watching Season 3 because of the clash between our characters from the trailer, don’t hold yourself back. I think you will really, really enjoy it and how it shakes out,” says McKee.

With a new season and movie on the horizon, now’s the time to rewatch the first two seasons. Jujutsu Kaisen is now available for streaming on crunchyroll.com.
