NYCC: Avatar: The Last Airbender Celebrates 20 Years with New Merch

The Merch Nation is emerging at New York Comic Con (NYCC). To celebrate Avatar: The Last Airbender’s 20th anniversary, these fan-favorite brands are uniting the nations with new merch inspired by popular characters and sidekicks.

Before diving into merch, you have to know about these mind-bending experiences. During Nickelodeon‘s Avatar: The Last Airbender (ATLA) 20th Anniversary panel, guests learned about the latest events and launches happening this holiday season and in 2026. Coming soon will be a new series titled Avatar: Seven Havens, an Avatar: The Last Airbender In Concert event, an original video game titled Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, and a feature film titled The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender. 

At NYCC, Wizards of the Coast revealed the Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender collection. This collab embraces the world of ATLA with cards featuring iconic characters, settings, and moves from the series. The Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender collection will launch on Nov. 21, with more information available at magic.com/avatar. 

Speaking of games, you can become your own Avatar with the latest tabletop game from Magpie Games. In Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, players can choose a setting, create heroes from 10 playbooks, and master different elements and skills. Master merch bending by bending these Jazwares collectibles to your will. Add mini figures to your shelves with the 2.5-inch Mini Collectible Figure ($4.99 each) and the 4-inch Lil’ Elementals Figure ($9.99 each) collections. Jazwares’s 4.5-inch Feature Figure ($9.99 each) and 6.5-inch Action Figure ($16.99 each) lines have articulation, character-specific looks, and themed accessories. Fans can also cuddle with the 8-inch Chibi Stylized Plush and give a big hug to the 12-inch Momo Squishmallows, launching in 2026.

Youtooz also joins the ATLA fandom with a surprising mash-up. Coming in 2026, the ATLA x Hatsune Miku line will feature Miku plush toys cosplaying as Aang and Appa. Fans can look out for preorders soon by visiting youtooz.com. 

Who knew reading could be fundamental and elemental? Book lovers and hobby enthusiasts can embark on new journeys with Insight Editions’ latest and upcoming books. Bake Aang cupcakes with the Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Official Baking Book or crochet characters with the Avatar: The Last Airbender — The Official Book of Amigurumi. 

Continuing the reading journey is Abrams Books. Meet the new Avatar in The Awakening of Roku when it launches on Dec. 30. Readers can also meet familiar characters in the City of Echoes, which is now available for your reading pleasure.

Read on the go with the latest collaboration between Dark Horse Comics and Webtoon Entertainment. On Webtoon fans can read Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra in a vertical scrolling format.
