Superheroes often arise in unexpected situations — like delivering DoorDash, for example.
Comics fans will be able to get a sneak peek at Marvel and DoorDash’s new collaboration at New York Comic Con (NYCC) this weekend. The DoorDash set up at NYCC includes an experience where fans can step into the fictional world of Dashville and save the city from a mysterious threat.
The two companies are working together to make The Dashers, a comic book that has DoorDash drivers as the hero. They are also hosting a stage event featuring a trivia session on Marvel heroes’ lives outside of their superpowers from 12:45-1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8.
The comic features four superhero characters who deliver with DoorDash for different reasons. Ernesto dashes because he loves exploring the city; Julia likes the flexibility of making money while taking care of her family; Remi dashes to support her dream of being a chef; and Andrew uses DoorDash to help pay for his education.
The Dashers will be released in five chapters, with the first chapter coming out on Oct. 12 at marvel.com.
