Dedicated Outlander fans have been designing knitting patterns inspired by Claire Fraser’s outfits ever since her stylish highlander shawls started gracing our screens in season one. But now, Sony Pictures Consumer Products is releasing a new book that will have everyone who loves Jamie and Claire grabbing their yarn and knitting needles.
Outlander Knitting by Kate Atherley is a new, officially licensed book from Penguin Random House, and it is packed with 20 knitting patterns inspired by the show.
Within the pages, fans will find patterns for creating the capelet cowl that Mrs. Fitz gives to Claire at Castle Leoch, a pair of clan Mackenzie boot socks, and even a Mo Chridhe baby blanket for the bairn in your life.
The patterns range from beginner-friendly knits to more advanced cables, so there is something for every level of knitter. Throughout the book, fans will find photography from the series accompanying each of the patterns.
The book is available to preorder now on Amazon as a Kindle book ($11.99) or in hardcover ($24.99). The book is officially available on Oct. 27, just in time to be the perfect holiday gift for the Outlander fan in your life (or for yourself!).
