The Buzz Lightyear collectible robot comes in two editions: The Space Ranger Alpha and the Infinity Pack. | Source: Robosen

You may have accepted that your toys will never come alive like Andy’s in Toy Story… But Robosen is here to change that fact with a new Buzz Lightyear collectible robot inspired by the movie Lightyear

This robot is not your standard Buzz Lightyear toy. With more than 50 microchips and more than 23 motors, it is life-like in how it moves around and interacts with collectors. Robosen’s speech recognition software makes it hard to forget that Buzz isn’t a conscious robot: More than 200 words and actions from the space ranger will keep Pixar fans entertained and impressed for hours. Collectors can use a smart device to program the robot, using voice, manual, block-based, or software programming modes.

The Buzz Lightyear Collectible Robot is more than 16 inches tall and is designed to look so much like the character does in the movie Lightyear that you can barely see the difference!

There are two editions to collect: the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Alpha and the limited-edition Buzz Lightyear Infinity Pack.

The Infinity Pack includes not only the robot, but also an XL-15 Jet Pack, interchangeable face and hand pieces, the space ranger blaster, and more. The full run-down of differences between the two products is available here

The robot will be flying into homes starting in the spring. Until Nov. 12, collectors can preorder the two for $649 and $749, a $150 and $250 discount respectively. Preorders for this robot will be open until Dec. 12, and each preorder requires a $99 deposit to secure a model. These high-tech Buzz replicas are expected to ship next June.
