It’s a big week for RSVLTS! In the spirit of all things spooky season, the apparel brand has two new, licensed lines inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas and Universal Monsters.
The Nightmare Before Christmas collection — which debuted earlier this week — includes four button-down shirts for that business-casual-but-also-spooky vibe. The Bone Daddy button-down is patterned with monsters and creeps from the film, with Jack Skellington standing out among them. The Everybody Scream shirt is a spooky spin on a pinstripe shirt with Zero, Oogie Boogie, Jack Skellington, and other characters from Nightmare Before Christmas.
The Halloween Town and Oogies Turn To Boogie shirts both give more pops of color than the other parts of this collection. Artsy meets spooky for the Halloween Town button down, which has a sketched out print of Halloween Town and its spooky inhabitants. The Oogies Turn to Boogie shirt is eerily reminiscent of the roller rink carpeting of the ‘90s and ’00s with its neon swirls and patterns that feature Oogie Boogie himself.
The Universal Monsters collection — which launches today, Sept. 29 at 4 p.m. ET — includes three button-down shirts and a reversible bomber jacket. The four pieces feature classic monsters including Dracula, Frankenstein, and more. The Creature from the Black Lagoon button down is blue, green, and black and includes illustrations based on the 1954 movie. The 1935 film The Bride of Frankenstein is honored with the electrified Bride Lives button-down, which has both black-and-white and colorful, eye-popping photos from the film.
The Monster Drip shirt has red, yellow, and blue comic panels featuring the most iconic Universal Monsters. Finally, the Monster Mashup bomber jacket has two sides, so you can have a more standout piece or a more toned-down look, depending on what you’re feeling. One side is all black with a Universal Monsters logo on the back, while the other is patterned with black-and-white images and logos from the Universal Monsters films.
