Bambi and Thumper Life-Size Resin Art Sculpture | Source: Kidrobot

One of the most iconic lines we all took away from spunky little rabbit Thumper in Bambi is, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothing at all.” This is not one of those cases because we have a lot to rave about.

Debuting for the first time at Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), Kidrobot teamed up with Disney for a Bambi and Thumper Life-Size Resin Art Sculpture based on the characters from the 1942 film Bambi. The limited-edition sculpture was designed by South African artist Colus Havenga, who has worked with Kidrobot for nearly a decade.

The a-deer-able Young Prince stands just over 20 inches tall while his bestie Thumper is about half that size. From curious baby-animal eyes to pom-pom tails, details from the film shine, making it feel like the actual cartoon characters are standing in front of you.

Fans can meet Colus at Kidrobot’s booth No. 2846 on Saturday, July 23 at 2 p.m., where the designer will be signing an exclusive lithograph of the figures for those who pre-order the Bambi and Thumper Life-Size Resin Art Sculpture. Those who can’t make it to SDCC can also pre-order the sculpture online for $700 on Friday, July 22 at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET. (Note: The link will go live on Friday morning at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET.)
