SpongeBob SquarePants fans can treat themselves to bites from the Krusty Krab with The Official SpongeBob SquarePants Cookbook.
Authored by GLAAD Media Award winner Jarrett Melendez, who also wrote The Official Wednesday Cookbook, My Pokémon Baking Book, and more, the new cookbook features more than 50 recipes of meals seen in and inspired by the hit Nickelodeon series.
The 176-page cookbook includes four chapters. Chapter one features recipes for tasty appetizers, chapter two includes suggestions for the main course, chapter three includes desserts readers can bake, and chapter four lists drink recipes so chefs can wash down their food.
Of course, the cookbook finally reveals the top-secret Krabby Patty recipe. Readers are also given recipes for Krusty Krab’s hot Volcano sauce, Spicy Cheese Sauce, and Mr. Krab’s recognizable Tangy Sponge Sauce.
The recipes feature everything from classic Hot Cross Nuts and Canned Bread to treats like Sea Pickle Chips. One highlight is Sandy’s Texas-Style Chili Con Carne, served with jalapeño and cheese sauce, and golden loaf (the cookbook’s cornbread recipe) on the side. Patrick Star’s Pink Punch is a strawberry soda infused with cinnamon, rose water, and cardamom.
For dessert, chefs can whip up an addictive Double Dark Deep Sea Cake, a decadent, chocolate delight, or a gooey, chocolate Krakatoa Lava Cake with caramel filling. The cookbook also includes vegan and vegetarian alternatives for chefs who don’t eat meat.
Cooks can preorder The Official SpongeBob SquarePants Cookbook now, before it launches Sept. 22. Learn more about the upcoming cookbook at tenspeedpress.com. After you try these recipes, it’ll be undeniable that the Krusty Krab is superior to the Chum Bucket.
