Haunting of Hill House star Joins the Cast of Stargirl

Henry Thomas, most recently known for starring in Netflix’ horror series The Haunting of Hill House, has joined DC Universe’s Stargirl as Golden Age Dr. Mid-Nite.

Also known as surgeon Dr. Charles McNider, Dr. Mid-Nite is an intelligent and forward-thinking medical trailblazer, and a founding member of the Justice Society of America. Alongside his owl, Dr. Mid-Nite acts as the team’s very own doctor and detective.

Dr. Mid-Nite will sport the same costume that Kwesi Ameyaw wore in the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Last week, Community‘s Joel McHale signed on to portray Golden Age Starman/Sylvester Pemberton and S.W.A.T.’s Lou Ferrigno Jr. was brought on to star as Golden Age Hourman.

Stargirl follows Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger), a struggling high-school student who moves to Blue Valley, Nebraska after her mom gets married. When she discovers her new stepfather was Starman’s sidekick Stripesy, Courtney uses his Cosmic Staff to become Stargirl.

Stargirl is expected to premiere on DC Universe in 2019.
