It’s a truth universally acknowledged that any person in possession of a metal, pop culture lunchbox is obviously the coolest person at school.

This year, Surreal Entertainment and Diamond Comic Distributors are partnering to recapture the schoolyard nostalgia of tin lunchboxes, with all the features that adult collectors will remember from childhood. These new, rectangular lunchbox/beverage container sets are called Tin Titans.

Each set will come with a tin case with a latched lid. On the lid, there will be a licensed image of popular characters, enhanced with 3D sculpting and embossed highlights to make the design pop. Inside, collectors will find a matching, 11-ounce beverage container that’s topped with an eared cup that’s colored to match the handle on the lunchbox.

The first line of Tin Titans will offer characters including Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers; Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Godzilla; and Marvel superheroes such as Spider-Man, The X-Men, Wolverine, and Black Panther.

These retro lunchboxes will be available exclusively through Diamond Comic Distributor’s Previews, which means you’ll be able to find them in your local comic book stores and hobby shops.

The tin totes were also on display at Previews’ booth during this year’s Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC). According to informational plaques on the display, the initial Tin Titans will be available this fall and will cost $24.99 each.
