In case you were caught up in the craziness of that Disney Investor Day mega-event and missed it, last night was also The Game Awards! Hosted as a virtual event, the 3.5-hour presentation kicked off at 6:30 ET and was packed with announcements, trailers, and — of course — awards.
The Last of Us Part IIÂ was the big winner of the night, taking home Game of the Year, along with Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, Best Audio Design, Best Performance (Laura Bailey as Abby), Innovation in Accessibility, and Best Action/Adventure Game.
Other winners included Ghost of Tsushima for Best Art Direction, Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Best Family Game, Among Us for Best Mobile Game and Best Multiplayer Game, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake for Best Score and Music and Best RPG. The fan-selected Players Voice award went to Ghost of Tsushima.
