Heroes walk among us — in pretty awesome shoes.
This weekend, Adidas released official photos and information for its Marvel collaboration, called “Heroes Among Us.”
The men’s sneaker line features six shoes, each inspired by a different MCU character. Four designs will be available the same day Avengers: Endgame premieres, April 26, starting at 3 a.m. ET. Adidas will release the final two shoe designs the following week, on May 1 at 3 a.m. ET.
Black Panther Dame 5 Shoes ($125)
These basketball shoes will remind fans of the “sneakers” that Shuri designs for her brother in Black Panther. The shoes are mostly black, with purple detailing that resembles T’Challa’s suit when it builds up kinetic energy. The Black Panther homages don’t stop there, though. The left shoe’s tongue features the Black Panther symbol, and the back of the shoe says “forever,” as in “Wakanda forever.”
Iron Man Harden Vol. 3 Shoes ($150)
Tony Stark would 100% wear these low-top basketball shoes. With scarlet and metallic gold coloring and detailing that resemble the famous Iron Man suit. There’s also a metal Iron Man symbol on each tongue and an embossed Stark Industries logo up the back of each shoe.
Captain America N3XT L3V3L Shoes ($180)
These laceless high-tops may just look vaguely patriotic at first glance, but there are plenty of homages to the Star Spangled Man. The tongues feature a white, embroidered Captain America shield, while the soles feature a large, full-color version of the shield across both shoes.
Thor Marquee Boost Shoes ($140)
Perhaps the most subtle of the Marvel designs, these basketball shoes feature The God of Thunder’s color scheme: white, metallic silver, grey, red, and gold. Peek behind the laces, and you’ll find a metal symbol of Mjolnir.
Captain Marvel Pro Vision Shoes ($110)
Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker first revealed these shoes on her Instagram last month in partnership with Adidas. The “ACE” sneakers feature a bold take on Captain Marvel’s red, yellow, and blue color scheme. The shoes’ toes also feature the iconic Captain Marvel Star.
Nick Fury T-Mac 1 Shoes ($130)
The only shoes in the collection not technically considered basketball shoes, this pair is all black with silver detailing, which seems on-brand for the ex-director of S.H.I.E.L.D. The sole has a camouflage design, and a metal S.H.I.E.L.D. logo decorates the shoes’ outside heel.
