It’s officially awards season! We’ve seen stars of the screen accept their prizes at the Golden Globes and the BAFTAS, but now it’s time to find out the winners of the Tubbies Awards.
This online awards ceremony celebrated the world of Tubbz, a line of rubber duck collectibles that cosplay as pop culture icons. Numskull — the makers of Tubbz — created the awards ceremony to celebrate three years of the collectible brand.
Hosted by “Quack Moon,” the awards show featured a handful of categories in which fans could cast their votes to determine which Tubbz are the most popular. Some of the winners included Tofu from Resident Evil for Most Creative, Dustin Henderson from Stranger Things for Best Lookalike, Gandalf the Gray from The Lord of the Rings for the Lifetime Achievement Award, The Lord of the Rings for Best Franchise, and Giant T. rex from Jurassic Park for Tubbz of the year.
There were also fan categories for Best Video, Best Poster, and Best Photograph, in which fans could submit their own creative work for a chance to win an exclusive Golden Tubbz collectible. Other fan categories included Best Coverage and Best Unboxing. Ghostbusters News took home the prize for Best Coverage and Laura Legends won Best Unboxing.
At the end of the show, fans got to see a sneak peek of the next XL duck that is coming soon: the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
There are more than 200 icons from movies, video games, TV shows, comic books, and music for pop culture fans to collect as Tubbz at numskull.com/tubbz. For the full list of winners, watch the ceremony in the video below.
