Forget the aux cord — Volkswagen is giving fans something more fun to fight over.
The automaker is adding AirConsole to select 2027 vehicles, so passengers can duke it out during downtime with their favorite video games. To play, simply scan a QR code on the car’s digital display, and your smartphone will become a wireless gamepad, so you can compete from any seat while parked. Up to four players can connect at once, which means your next road trip is about to be next level.
The console comes preloaded with 20 games, including Tetris, PAC-MAN Championship Edition, UNO Car Party!, Golazo!, Memory Match, and other fan favorites. Of course, Volkswagen puts its own spin on the experience with exclusive in-game content, such as swapping PAC-MAN’s power pellets and bonus fruits with VW logos and iconic car models. Select games can also sync with the cabin lights in compatible vehicles, so you can bring the action to the ambiance.
AirConsole will be available on the 2027 Atlas, Atlas Cross Sport, Tiguan, Golf GTI, Golf R, and ID. Buzz models as part of Volkswagen’s In-Vehicle Premium package subscription. To learn more, visit volkswagen.com.
