The wheels are slowly turning for Cyborg to get his own standalone film, and Ray Fisher, the actor who played him in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, knows who he wants to direct his big solo act.

Fisher told DC World, “I think Cyborg has the potential for a superhero film unlike any we’ve seen before. If Zack were to ever come back to direct another DC film, he’d be my top pick to direct.”

The Zack he’s referring to is Zack Snyder, the Justice League director, but it’s unlikely he will be back to direct after he stepped down from Justice League after the death of his daughter. There have also been rumors that he didn’t step down and was actually fired from the DC Entertainment Universe, and if that’s the case, then he definitely won’t be returning.

There have been no solid plans set in motion for the Cyborg movie after DC Films slowed its plans for its superhero movies following the disappointing ratings for Justice League.
