Details surrounding the Black Widow standalone film are still very much under wraps, but info is leaking out little by little as the casting process begins. We already know that Scarlett Johansson is the lead as Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow, but the casting department is looking to fill in the rest of the squad.

The studio is looking for a “Main Antagonist” in his or her 40s, described as “exciting,” open to any ethnicity. In the “Friends and Foes” section, there’s an open spot for a “kick ass” female character similar to a “female Bond.” The studio is looking for an African, Middle Eastern, or East Indian male actor, in addition to a “European Caucasian female and one European Caucasian male” between 50 to 60 years old. There’s an open spot for a “conniving female villain” in her 50s to play the “Secondary Antagonist.” Lastly, the casting department is on the look out for a “bookish American” male in his late 20s.

Marvel Studios has yet to release any official information, including the official release date. The movie is rumored to hit theaters on May 6, 2020.
