Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products (DPEP) unveiled the Disney Parks “Imagining Tomorrow, Today” pavilion at the Anaheim Convention Center last night ahead of D23 Expo, which begins today in Anaheim, California. The pavilion gives a sneak peek at the new attractions and lands coming to Disney parks and resorts around the world.
Walt Disney World Resort is adding a Star Wars-themed hotel experience with the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. Guests can enjoy a two-night stay aboard the galactic starship, where they can interact with characters. Fans can see a new model of the starcruiser, called the Halcyon, at the pavilion.
Epcot is about to get a multi-year transformation with new experiences to make it “more Disney, more family, more timeless, and more relevant to the millions of guests who visit each year,” said DPEP Chairman Bob Chapek. The DPEP pavilion has a model of Disney’s first-ever Moana attraction called “Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana.”
A new experience center will open in the former Odyssey Events Pavilion, called the “Walt Disney Imagineering Presents the Epcot Experience.”
DPEP also revealed the name for Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris’ superhero-themed lands: Avengers Campus. The pavilion at D23 details why the Avengers are building these campuses as an interconnected, global story spanning from California to Paris to Hong Kong, as the Avengers recruit new people to join them.
