Picture this — you’re spending the night in with your friends, and you guys can’t decide whether or not to snuggle up and watch a classic Disney movie or to get competitive and go head-to-head for a game night. Well, with the new Dixit Disney game, it’s the best of both worlds.

Board game publisher Libellud has just released its first collaboration with Disney. Dixit Disney is based on the original Dixit, a light-hearted game of storytelling and guesswork where the players’ imaginations unlock the tale.

Each round, one player is the storyteller and chooses one of six cards from their hand. They make up a sentence based on that card’s image, then the other players each choose a card from their own hand that they think matches the clue. The cards are shuffled and then revealed. Players secretly vote for the card that they believe is the storyteller’s card. If no players or all players select the right card, the storyteller receives zero points, and everyone else receives two. In all other cases, the storyteller and whichever players chose the correct card each score three points. Additionally, each player who had their card guessed scores one point.

The game ends when the deck is empty, or if any player is the first to score 30 points. The player with the most points wins the game!

Dixit Disney is based on themes and characters found in Disney and Pixar films. It contains 84 cards that feature Disney-themed images, each based on a different title, from “Steamboat Willie” to Turning Red. It takes approximately 30 minutes to play and is designed for groups of three to six.

All the artwork for the game was done by illustrator Natalie Dombois, and it took 3 years to complete. Dixit Disney is available now for $39.99, and it’s sure to unlock priceless memories with all of your movie-loving friends.
