Finally, they’re opening up the gates — at Disneyland, that is.
After being closed for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disneyland park, the Disney California Adventure park, and their accompanying resorts are set to reopen with limited capacity starting on April 30.
The parks will follow safety guidelines in accordance with California state regulations, which means that only California residents will be allowed to visit until further notice. The guidelines will also significantly reduce the number of guests permitted in the parks, and Disneyland will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system. To enter one of the parks, guests ages 3 and up will need both a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same day.
Like Walt Disney World in Florida — which has been open with safety guidelines since last July — some Disneyland experiences that encourage crowds, such as parades and nighttime spectaculars, will return at a later date. However, guests will be able to enjoy the new ride Snow White’s Enchanted Wish for the first time when the park reopens.
