Happy LEGO CON day!
As part of its inaugural LEGO CON virtual fan event (which you can watch here) The LEGO Group revealed three new LEGO Star Wars building sets inspired by the second season of the popular Disney+ series The Mandalorian.
The largest of the three sets is the Imperial Light Cruiser (pictured above). The 1,336-piece set will cost $159.99 and includes everything fans need to recreate some of the most epic battles from the show’s second season. The Light Cruiser comes with five LEGO mini-figures: The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, Fennec Shand, Moff Gideon, and a Dark Trooper (making its first LEGO appearance). There is also a tiny LEGO figure of Grogu. The set features a bridge that doubles as a handle, two rotating turrets with spring-loaded shooters, two mini TIE fighters, and more.
Next up is Boba Fett’s Starship, which has 593 pieces and will cost $49.99. The set comes with mini-figures of Boba Fett with a blaster and The Mandalorian with his blaster rifle and beskar spear. Features on the starship include a handle, an opening cockpit, rotating wings, stud shooters, and a compartment for a Carbonite brick. The set also includes a transporter vehicle to move the starship on the ground, which doubles as a display stand.
Finally, there is a new Imperial Armored Marauder set. This 478-piece set will cost $39.99 and includes four mini-figures: Greef Karga with a blaster pistol, two Stormtroopers with blasters, and a new Artillery Stormtrooper with a mortar gun and backpack accessory. The set features four stud shooters, two non-shooting foldout blaster cannons, and a cockpit and cabin for two mini-figures.
All three of these sets will be available to purchase starting on Aug. 1. Head to lego.com to get even more updates about today’s LEGO CON product reveals, which included new items from LEGO Ideas, LEGO Minecraft, the Wizarding World, and more!
