Last week, the internet was sure Avengers: Annihilation would be the title for Avengers 4. Then, Mark Ruffalo revealed a different title on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

After filming for the show, Ruffalo tweeted at Fallon, asking him to censor part of the interview where he let the title for the final Avengers installment slip. Although Fallon complied, going so far as to put a black bar over Ruffalo’s mouth to prevent lip-reading, tech-savvy fans have manipulated the audio to remove the censor.

They’ve uncovered that Ruffalo called the movie “The Last Avenger.” If it is legitimate, this title is a chilling parallel to Captain America: The First Avenger.

Obviously, the Russo brothers couldn’t stay quiet after a reveal this major, jokingly tweeting to Ruffalo that he was fired.

Ruffalo didn’t defend himself too strongly, only tweeting back, “Guys… can we talk about this?” He also didn’t let his “firing” get him down at New York Comic Con this weekend, where he went undercover to take a photo with Jason Momoa.
