The Bat is back! | Source: Mattel

Mattel is officially back in the DC action figure game, and Batman gets first dibs.

At New York Comic Con (NYCC), Mattel revealed the first collectible from its new global licensing deal with Skydance’s Warner Bros. Discovery: the DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set.

Inspired by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee’s landmark Batman: Hush storyline, the $100 set pairs a highly articulated Batman figure with a Gotham rooftop display built for maximum shelf drama. Batman has 34 points of articulation, interchangeable hands, and an oversized wired cape modeled after Lee’s artwork. The figure was designed by Kyle Wlodyga in collaboration with the teams and artists at Mattel.

The rooftop itself packs a few tricks. A water-based fog effect adds some Gotham atmosphere, while the working Bat-Signal can project the familiar bat emblem onto nearby surfaces. There’s also a removable gargoyle, and the packaging doubles as a backdrop.

Collectors can preorder the set now through Mattel Creations.

And this is only the opening act. Mattel plans to reveal its full Spring 2027 DC action figure lineup during a livestream on Jan. 1, with more collectibles and special appearances promised.

NYCC attendees can see the set in person at DC’s Booth No. 4365 through Oct. 11.
