C2E2 Crowns Global Champion of Cosplay; 2020 Dates Revealed

The 10th-anniversary edition of ReedPOP’s C2E2 is behind us, but there was one big highlight on Saturday night. In front of a packed house, ReedPOP announced the winner of the 2019 C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay, presented by Singer. Regan Cerato, aka Cowbutt Crunchies, who won the inaugural Keystone Championships of Cosplay in Philadelphia last September, scored the top prize with her elaborate Demon Lord Helgasercle cosplay. Helgasercle comes from IMC Games’ massively multiplayer RPG Tree of Savior.

The crowning ceremony at C2E2 marked the final stop of the 2018 ReedPOP Global Championships of Cosplay competition circuit.

The runners-up were Kinpatsu Cosplay as Sister of Battle from Warhammer 40k (Africa Champion of Cosplay) and The Dingo Ate My Cosplay as Eriodna from Kings of the Realm (Australian Champion of Cosplay).

The Pop Insider was on the ground in Chicago for C2E2 (check out photos on Instagram) this year, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. C2E2 2020 will take place from Feb. 28 to March 1 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
