Fate: The Winx Saga, in all of its magical, teen angst glory, has been in the Netflix top 10 ever since it debuted last week, on Jan. 22.
The series is (somewhat loosely) based on the animated Winx Club series, and it follows the adventures of six young fairies who are learning to master their powers at Alfea, a school in the Otherworld.
Rainbow, the Italian content group that created the classic Winx Club series, will serve as the global consumer products licensor for the new Netflix show. Yesterday, the company announced the first major licensing partners for the teen show.
So far, the company has revealed publishing partners in different countries, which will distribute the official novel of the series, written by Ava Corrigan. In the U.S., that partner will be Scholastic Books.
There are no U.S. partnerships officially announced for other product categories at this time, but there is already a European fashion collaboration set with the French company Don’t call me Jennyfer.
