As you watch The Lord of the Rings play out on screen, don’t you want to just jump into the action and help Frodo as he quests to destroy the One Ring? With Thames & Kosmos’ latest board game, you can do just that.
In Lord of the Rings: Adventure to Mount Doom, players take up different roles in the Fellowship as they trek across Middle-earth to the infamous volcano in Mordor. Players must work together to achieve their goals by using dice to make their way across the board. Black dice and encounter cards can throw a wrench in the game, so players need to strategize the best move to make to accomplish their goals. The game can only be won if Frodo reaches Mount Doom. Just like the members of the Fellowship of the Ring, players win or lose together.
Up to four players can join the fellowship for Lord of the Rings: Adventure to Mount Doom, which lasts for around an hour. The game is great for nights with friends or as a palate cleanser in the middle of a movie marathon.
