Last week, McFarlane Toys teased a new collection of articulated figures on social media, featuring the main characters of the ’80s cult classic The Princess Bride: Fezzik, Inigo Montoya, Princess Buttercup, and Westley (as Dread Pirate Roberts). Now, these figures are officially available to preorder.
All four of these characters are recreated in 7-inch scale, which means that, as a literal giant, Fezzik is a “MegaFigure.” In addition to featuring up to 22 points of articulation, all four figures come with a branded base for display. Fezzik also comes with two accessories — a rock for smashing and a peanut (“Anybody want a peanut?”) — while Westley and Inigo have their swords.
These figures are expected to ship later this fall and are available from a variety of retailers at the links below.
This is labeled as “Wave 1” from McFarlane, so here’s hoping that there are more The Princess Bride figures in our future. Our vote is for an articulated R.O.U.S., but we’d also take a Miracle Max and Valerie two-pack!
